Menghai Golden Buds Tribute Ripened Pu-erh Cake 2009

Our Menghai Golden Buds Tribute Ripened Pu-erh Cake tea is made by Ding Lanxian, a descendant of Mabang people, who has over thirty years of experience in making tea. Using the tea leaf of Yunnan Large Leaf Species from Lantsang basin as material, the cake was properly fermented, carefully compressed after high temperature sterilization.

Ancient Chun Jian Puerh uses leaves from ancient tea tree (Fengqing large leaf tree species) of 500 – 1000 ages. Master workers with seasoned hand pick these leaves between the time of March 10th and April 20th, which is the pick time of Ming Qian tea and Yu Qian tea. These tea picked in this period are called Chun Jian. We know that Ming Qian tea contains a large amount of amino acid, presenting a fragrant and mellow flavor, while Yu Qian tea has high aroma and light bitter taste.

The materials of Tuocha are from Fengqing large tea species. Fresh tea leaves will be made into dry tea in traditional craft method after being picked, then will be pressed into nest shape. The appearance of Tuocha reminds you of mountain. While smelling the faint scent of Sheng Pu-erh, you will have the feelings of being in beautiful scenery of Yunnan.

This Raw Pu-erh Cake PureTea chose from the representative Pu-erh production area Fengqing. Fengqing is the original place of the world-wide famous Dian Hong Tea. And it is also a classic place of Yunnan Pu-erh. It is a place in Lingcang which is one of the four famous Pu-erh production areas. The taste of Fengqing Pu-erh is mellow and sweet, deeper than Pu-erh in other production area.

Aged Pu-erh tea is created by secondary-oxidation and post-fermentation tea. This type of Pu-erh tea is referred to as ripened, or cooked, Pu-erh, which has a rich, mellow and earthy flavor. Flaked Pu-erh tea leaves compressed into birds nest shape and individually wrapped.
