Tea Name Lists

There may be some confusing to tea beginners about the names of various teas.  Sometimes a tea maybe have different names on different websites.  For example, Iron Goddess of Mercy Oolong Tea is also being called Tie Guan Yin or Ti Kuan Yin.

You will no longer worry about the tea names by using this lists. If there’s any tea missing, welcome to list by writing a comment at the bottom of the article.  I am glad to improve this list by further searching and all of you tea enthusiasts’ suggestions.

Keemun black tea, Keemun tea for short, is a famous Chinese black tea. This tea is made with leaves of Zhuye variety which is a local tree species in Keemun County. In fact, "Keemun" is actually an older western spelling of the name of the nearby town which is named as Qimen County (祁门县) nowadays, in Anhui province. Although being on the list of China Top-10 famous tea, Keemun black tea has a relatively short story.
